Sir Richard Livingston (23 Jan 1880-26 Dec 1960) is a famous British Educationist and Academic Administrator promoted the classical liberal arts. He was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford. He was president of Corpus Christi College, Oxford and vice chancellor , Oxford University. His excursion into the field of education " The future in Education" ,"Education for a world Adrift" and " Some tasks for Education" have been received with wide acclaim.

In this essay Livingston stresses the importance of moulding the character through our education system.
