Description -

This is the dramatized first Chapter of Great Expectations, one of the most famous novels of Charles Dickens, published in 1861.

Summary -

In this summary, there is a boy named Pip which was living with his sister. His Sister was so rude. She always used to beat him/scold him. His sister was known as Mrs. Joe, her husband was a blacksmith Joe Gargery.

He was living many miles away from Chruch Yard. One, the day he went on his father's gravestone. He used to talk to his father and to himself. One day he was talking to himself and saying: I never ever saw you, my father. All I have of you is your name. Philip Pirrip. Peoples called me Pip, Because, It was much easy to pronounce. Only Pip.

But, Suddenly that day a man who was full of mud, wet came from behind of the Grave. He has an iron ball on his one foot.

Pip was frightened and just near to scream but Suddenly man said in horrible Voice: Hey! Kid No Sound. Otherwise, I'll cut your throat.

Pip said with low voice - No, Sir Please don't do this, you cannot do this.

Then, the man asked What's your name Kid? Pip said in low voice P-p-p-Pip Sir. He said Reply in Loud voice - Pip sir,  

Then, He asked where you live to point out the place {in a terrible voice}

Pip moved on and point out his village.

Then, Pip explains everything that his sister's husband is a blacksmith. Atfer listening to this that man became happy that His sister's husband is a blacksmith he can help in removing his iron ball. Then, He said to pip for brining the vittles of his sister's husband. Then, He aked Do you know that are vittles?

Pip said yes, I know sir. The man said okay tomorrow you have to bring that for me. Then, The Man said Pip say this *May Lord Strike me If I don't*

Pip said the same, Then, He allowed pip to go to his village. Pip said Good Night sir.

The Man said to himself No, good night for me. This cursed leg iron and this curse cold will never let me live simply.

Summary:

GREAT EXPECTATION:

Is a serial novel about a boy named Pip. He is an orphan who lives with his crooked sisters, and her husband Joe. Joe is also a Blacksmith.

One day:

While Pip was visiting his parent's grave, A convict comes up to him and demands some food and a nail file to escape his chains.

Pip help him out, but later finds out he got Joe's uncle Pumblechook decides to introduce Pip to rich bride named Miss Havisham and her adopted daughter, Estella. Pip loved Estella at first sight, but Estella gave Pip the cold shoulder.

In looking for a job:

Pip begins as a blacksmith with Joe, but soon a lawyer named Jaggers comes and tells Pip than an anonymous donor has funded Pip with money to move to London and train to become a gentlemen with great expectations. Pip decided to leave his blacksmith job and his family and packs his bags and heads to London.

Pip originally through:

Was it Miss Havisham who funded Pip to become gentlemen, just so he could be fit for Estella? However, one night, Pip was visited by someone by the name of Magwitch, who turns out to be the convict from the graveyard.

It turn out:

It was, in fact, Magwitch who founded Pip to become a gentleman. This upsets Pip as he was hoping it was a way to earn Estella's heart. Even through Pip is now a gentleman and confesses his love for Estella, she rejected him and Ran off with another man.

Years later:

Pip ends up sick and broke. Joe does Pip one last favor and pays of all of his dept Pip then feels bad for leaving his as he did long ago and decides to give up his rich life and live with his family again.

The story ends:

Pip, reliving his childhood revisits what use to be miss Havisham's home. It just so happened that Estella was there. Withe her abusive husband dead, she now realizes how Pip's love for her at the end of the Pip said he saw no shadow of another parting from her.
