There are about 2600 species of palm trees, most of them living in tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate climates.

Palms are one of the best known and most widely planted tree families. They have held an important role for humans throughout much of history. Many common products and foods come from palms. They are often used in parks and gardens that are in areas that do not have heavy frosts.

In the past palms were symbols of victory, peace, and fertility. Today palms are a popular symbol for the tropics and for vacations.[

Answer:

HOPE IT HELPS

Explanation:

palm tree is a deep and thoughtful poem written by Rabindranath Tagore. it talks about a tree that does not wish to stay rooted and wants to fly in the sky like birds. the part of speech used throughout the poem is personification. the palm tree is given qualities of human

in the first stanza the poet tell that the palm tree is standing on its 'one leg' i.e. on its tall bark, taller than the other trees. the tree wishes to fly into the grey clouds but cannot do so because he is bound to the soil by its roots

the tree spreads his long leaves that he thinks are his wings. the tree pretends like it is flying in the sky like a bird. the poet compares the fronds of the tree to the wings of the birds that lets him roam around the whole world, breaking free of all bondages

the whole day the branches and leaves keep swaying in the wind. the tree cannot fly so he is imagining in his mind like he is a bird that wants to soar away, past the clouds and the stars.

but finally, when the wind within us stops blowing and fire within us dies we all come back to our mother earth a place of familiar love and comfort. the poem ends on a happy note when the tree realizes the importance of mother earth that nurtured it.
