Answer:
This poem is written by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. He was one of the most important Hindu poets at the time. He was known for his rebellious poetry at the time before Independence. It was one of his famous poems. He wrote it to enlighten the fighters of india who were fighting for the freedom. He wanted to encourage them in what they were doing.
Explanation:
This poem starts off with the poet praising the heroes of the nation who have lost everything fighting for their people protecting them. The poet is asking other poets to write in their favor. He is asking them to write about what they did and how they lost even their lives just because of us so that those who don’t know can know about them. He says that these people fought in difficult situations and lived in places away from their family and their homes where life was very hard. The poet was of the thought that we couldn’t help them back them so we should at least remember them with good words now. He says they are forgotten heroes so we should acknowledge their sacrifices this day and write about them. He says that if today we are safe and if the borders are secure today it’s because of them and even today their blood and uproar infuse fear in the enemies. In the last stanza, he is calling all the people who do not know about their glorified history blind as they do not even know the basis of their present. He wants to write in their glory and encourage others to do the same.
