The poet says that whenever he asks the sky and water about caring for animals , he gets no answer from anyone.   He remembers dogs, cats, horses and owls who have been injured badly and need first aid.  The poet answers this question himself and says that caring for animals will make us realise that we too are human animals in need of love and care.
