This poem 'The quality of mercy' shows a lot of human qualities. this poem is written effectively by the poet and he has aptly used many figure of speech to convey the idea that although the rich among the men are not merciful but God is, and those who are merciful are blessed. It shows that every man has a drop of mercy from the great merciful, God. Mercy is given to man because it is man's right. It is justice to him that he is merciful. Once man ignores appreciating the value and quality of mercy, man looses his humanity and become surrounded by fear, selfishness and artificial happiness and power. It 'seasons justice' and creates balance in man's life. The poet has effectively and creatively appreciated the quality of mercy in this poem.
