Summary of Thelma rae by Tisha coiner:

Tisha coiner reminisced about sweet memories that she had with her mother, Thelma Rae while writing about her. She recalls how her mother used to play with her on beach and talk with her all night, as she was of her age. As a single mother, she guided her on every step in life.  

They spent and share good and hard times. Their liking and disliking were alike, as their love for Chinese food, writing, and other things. This is why she was not only her mother but also her only best friend.
