Given that, Sunil bought 6m 9cm of coloured paper and 2m 87cm paper is used by Sunil in making flags.

We've to find how much paper is left.

• 6m 9cm

= 6×100cm + 9cm ...[1m=100cm]

= 609cm

• 2m 87cm

= 2×100 + 87cm ...[1m=100cm]

= 287cm

So,

=> 609 - 287 cm

=> 322cm

∴ 322cm or 3m 22cm of paper is left.

sunil bought 6m 9cm coloured paper which is 600cm + 9cm = 609cm

·He used 2m 87cm which is 200cm +87cm  = 287cm

·Paper left = 609cm - 287cm = 322cm = 322/100m = 3.22m .
