Sunita and Rehana want to make dresses for their dolls. Sunita has 3/4 m of cloth, and she gave 1/3 of it to Rehana. How much did Rehana have?

Total length of the cloth is 3/4 metres.

The part that Rehana got is 1/3rd part of the total cloth.

Solution,

For calculating the length of the cloth of Rehana we need to calculate the 1/3rd part of the total cloth. For this,we need to multiply 1/3 with the total length of the initial piece of cloth,that was obtained by Sunita.

The length of Rehana's cloth

= 3/4 × 1/3

= 1/4 metres

Hence, Rehena got 1/4 metres of cloth.
