Sunita is twice as old as Seema. If 6 years is subtracted from Seema’s age and 4 years added to Sunita’s age, then Sunita will be four times Seema’s age. How old were they two years ago?

Here is your answer ☞

Let age of seema be 'X' yrs..

Therefore age of sunita will be 2x years

6 yrs are subtracted from seema age

Therefore seema age = x-6 yrs

4 yrs are added to sunita age

Therefore sunita age will be = 2x + 4 yrs.

Then..

We get 2x+4=(x-6) × 4 2x+4=4x-24

We get X=14

Therefore seema age = 14 yrs Before yrs ,

her age = 12 yrs

Therefore sunita age = 28 yrs Before 2 yrs = 26 yrs

Hope it will help you

Let the age of seema be x
Seema's age = x
Sunita's age = 2x
According to the question:
Sunita's age = 2x + 4
Seema's age = 4(x - 6)

2x + 4 = 4(x - 6)
2x + 4 = 4x - 24
4 + 24 = 4x - 2x
28 = 2x
28 ÷ 2 = x
14 = x

So,
Sunita's age = 2x
= 2(14)
= 28years
Seema's age = x
= 14years
