The speed of Sunita is 3.5kmph

Given :

Speed of Sunita = 4kmph

The time taken to reach school = 45 mins

She was late to school by = 10 mins

Solution :

Speed of sunita = 4kmph

Time taken = 45 mins = \frac{45}{60} = \frac{3}{4} \:hours

Distance travelled = \text{Speed $\times$Time taken } = 4\times\frac{3}{4} = 3\:km

One day she was late by 10 mins,

Time taken = 45+10=55\:mins = \frac{55}{60} =\frac{11}{12} \:hours

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time \:\:taken}= \frac{3}{\frac{11}{12} }

\implies\frac{3}{1} \times \frac{12}{11} \implies \frac{36}{11} \implies 3.5\:kmph

The speed of Sunita is 3.5kmph
