the answer is 24 ohms. it was found by the formula v = I × r.

Answer:

R = 4 ohm

Explanation:

v = 6v

R = 20 ohm

I = 0.25 A  (Current)

let the other resistance be R

Total resistance = R + 20 ohm

          I = V/R

          0.25 = 6/R + 20

          R+20 =  6 / 0.25

          R+20 =  6*100 / 0.25 * 100

          R+20 = 600 / 25

          R +20 = 24

          R = 24 - 20

          R = 4 ohm

I hope it helps you

Thank you
