Suppose a radar has a pulse length of 100 ns. What is the Rayleigh bandwidth of the pulse
spectrum, in Hz? What is the 3 dB bandwidth in Hz?

From section 8.4. 2, the Fourier transform of the pulse is a sinc function with a first zero at f = 1/τ Hz = 1/100 ns= 10 MHz. The Rayleigh bandwidth is therefore 10 MHz.
