The frying pan will vibrate because its particles will be set in vibration due to the hit by the stick. We will not be able to hear any sound because there are no air particles in vacuum , and sound needs a medium to propagate.

The frying pan will vibrate. We will not be able to hear the sound of vibration because sound cannot travel in vacuum.
