Suppose records show that the average income in a country has been increasing over a period of time .From this , we can conclude that all sections of economy have become better? Illustrate your answer with examples .( 30- 40 words)

We cannot conclude that all sections of the economy have become better. Take the example of India itself. The national income of the country has been increasing since 1980s but there is not a notable difference in the SCs, STs and the OBCs. Even though the the country has launched many missions to improve the condition of the backward sections it has not been that successful.

Increase in average income cannot be a guarantee of overall progress of the economy. As the data of Punjab and Kerala; there are other factors which also need to be analysed before arriving at a conclusion. Some of those factors are; infant mortality rate, literacy rate, etc.
