digits : 2. 3. 5. 6. 7. 9.

we need 3 digits numbers ( provided repetition is not allowed)

___. ___. ___

4 5 6

ones place can take any of the 6 values

tens place can take only any of the 5 values as one value is assigned to ones place

similarly hundreds place can take only 4 values

so in total there are 4×5×6 = 120 three digit numbers
