suppose the earth shrinks such that its radius decreases to have the present I do what will be the acceleration due to gravity on the earth surface of the earth

If the radius shrinks to half its value, i.e. R' = R/2

then the acceleration due to gravity, g = GM/R'2 = 4GM/R2 = 4g

i.e. it increases 4 times
