Suppose you are late for school. As you are about to cross the road, the traffic signal turns yellow/orange. What will you do in such a situation?

I would wait patiently for the light to turn red as pedestrians are only supposed to cross the road when the light is red.

Safety is a higher priority than everything else and hence I would do what is right.

I would probably wait for the light to turn back to green again. It sure doesn't matter how late am I for the school, what matters is how well aware am I about my as well as other people's safety.

If we cut the 'late' factor and just focus on the 'lights'. We see what are the lights here for, don't we? Traffic signals is for our own safety and those who do not adhere by such rules are not heroes, they are posing a threat to their own life.

It doesn't matter if I'm late for school or for a movie. I wouldn't risk my life just for it. I would rather wait for the green light. And I HOPE that others do this too.

Thanks. Hope it helps.

1lonesailor: thank you so much!!! i owe you
Anonymous: Hey! I'm glad it helped. Pleasure's all mine :)
1lonesailor: :)
SquareRoot256: @Priyanka - if you are crossing the road, why would you wait for a green light?

(or maybe I'm mistaken and the asker is talking about the pedestrian light)
1lonesailor: i forgot to add pedestrian sry :P
Anonymous: That is just another way of looking at the question @SquareRoot. Never thought of it that way. Thanks! :)
SquareRoot256: Heh no problem. Thanks for your interesting perspective also.
Anonymous: Both of our perspective rely on hypothetical situations. So both the answers are correct, I suppose. :)
