Suppose you go for a trip and you have 1500 rupees as your pocket money. You spend 1/5 of the money to buy a novel name "Wonder". You spend 1/6 of the money to buy a pendant for your mother and 1/5 of the money to buy a diary for your father. Then you spend 1/4 of the money on some stationery items and 2/15 of the money on food items. How much money did you spend to buy presents for parents?​

Here , the following information is given -

How much money did you spend to buy presents for parents?

Solution -

Given Pocket Money -

=> Rs. 1500

Money spent on buying a pendant -

=> ( 1 / 6 ) the of 1500

=> Rs. 250

Money spent on buying the diary -

=> ( 1 / 5 ) the of 1500

=> Rs. 300

Total money spent on buying presents for parents -

=> Rs. 250 + Rs. 300

=> Rs. 550 .
