suppose you have two containers first one is filled with water while the second one is empty how can you fill the second container with the equal amount of water from the first one

Some amount of water made bigger jar 1/4 full, then the same amount of water (stored for a while in smaller jar) were added to bigger jar, so bigger jar is 1/4+1/4=1/2 full.
