I would wish I had a lot more say so about how my country works and progresses. On a personal level I would wish for a more decisive mind! I must be the most fickle and whimsical person I know and while it has been a good thing through my youth it is not a good thing in my 50s! I have moved at least 20 times in 20 years, gone from CA to NY back to CA and back to NY two more times! I’m desperately homesick for California, but opportunities are better in NY. I have been a waitress, seamstress, designer, carpenter, GC in Manhattan, manicurist to the rich and famous, landscape laborer, and now I’m in Cosmetology school to get my hair license. I have a degree in clothing design, wanted to be a costume designer (why I moved to NY), I have made furniture and slipcovers, upholstery and painting for interior designers in San Diego and San Francisco and later did the same in NY and continued going to college to study Astronomy, Fine Art and Art History, Journalism and Photo-Journalism, American Government and Political Science as well as Cultural Anthropology and Psychology. Mostly I studied all this out of sheer interest, but I did want to be a political journalist for a while. I also dream of being a writer and fine artist and I wanted to make dolls and build Tiny Houses. There are not enough hours in the day for all I want to do and where I want to go and I can’t decide which, where and how. Sometimes I think I should build myself a tiny house on wheels and let the wind decide for me.
