ABC School, Durgapur, 24th January: ABC School has just concluded most successfully the Inter School Science Seminar .The seminar was organised on 10th November, 2019 to celebrate the World Science Day for peace and development.
There was a huge turn out. Many local schools participated in the seminar.
The seminar was organised at the School Auditorium. The Seminar was inaugurated at 10 a.m by the Director and Senior Scientist-Dr. A, of the Science Research Academy. Many eminent scholars and scientists also graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest was Dr. A. He delivered a very valuable speech on the value of Science.
The Key note speaker was Prof. K. Kumar. He is a senior scientist and professor of IIT,Kharagpur.
He gave a very thought provoking presentation on the misuse of Science.
There were many other notable speakers. Our Principal, Dr. A. Mukherjee and our Science teacher, Dr. B. Sen also delivered a speech on science and peace and development.
All the students were overwhelmed by the speeches. Some were asked to give impromptu speeches on their opinion about Science.
All in all it was a run away success. The school hopes to organise similar seminars in future.
