Supriya has two employees in her boutique who are paid according to the chart below :

Employee. Hourly pay. Daily Bonus.
Employee 1. Rs.40 per hour. Rs. 60
Employee 2. Rs.30 per hour. Rs. 100


Supriya wishes both employees should end each day working for the same no. Of hours and also to get the same amount of money. What is the minimum no. Of hours that they shall work each day to fulfil Supriya's wish ?

this could be done by algebra simply taking no of hour as x
so x*40+60=x*30+100
40x+60=30x+100
10x=40
x=4
so
they should work for 4 hrs so by this
employee 1 get 4*40+60=220
employee 2 get 4*30+100=220
so they should work for minimum 4 hrs

Let x be the time in hours. Then 40(x)+60=30(x)+100 this gives x=4. Hence both should work for 4 hours a day to fulfill her wish.
