In 1- day Ramesh and Suresh can do= 1/5- part of the work.

In 1- day Suresh can do =1/8- part of the work.

So in 1- day they both can do =1/5+1/8 = 13/40 - part of the work.

When they work together, their efficiency increase by 20% .

Therefore the part of the work done = 13/40 x 1.2

= 156/400

= 39/100.

So they can complete the work together in = 100/39- days.

= 2 & 22/39 days.
