Suresh spent 560 in the market. If the money he spent was 40%of the money he had.
40% of 560=40/100×560=224
Remaining money=560-224=336
Thus he had $336.

Total money he had= 100%
remaining money = 100% - 40% = 60%

since, 40% money= Rs. 560
1% money = Rs. 560/40 (applying unitary method)
100% money= Rs. ( 560/40)×100
= Rs. 14×100
= Rs. 1400
and remaining money = Rs. 1400-560
= Rs. 840
