As we know the of one surface of square is a^2 so the area of 6 surfaces of cube is 6× a^2=6a^2. So simple derivation

1) There are six sides in a cube.

2) Area of square is (side)².

3) The cube also looks like a square.

2) So, we multiply the area of the square with six sides of the cube.

From there the formula derived:-

(6xs²)
