(Report of the Students for the year 2016)

According to chart given above, the major issues of the elementary education were as follows:

Lack of Teachers: Shortage of teachers is a prominent factor in the slow expansion of elementary education and this is due to poor remunerations.
Shortage of School Buildings and Their Unsuitability: Due to shortage of funds the programs of construction of school buildings could not keep pace with the expansion of primary education.
Poverty and Ignorance: Even to-day the financial condition of the country is not such as to provide full meals and adequate clothing’s to each and every citizen.
Wastage and Stagnation: Though the Elementary Education has made a progress, but because of certain reasons it cannot be said to be encouraging and quite satisfactory.
Finance: Because of financial difficulties compulsion could not be enforced strictly in the past to avoid huge wastage.
Communication Gap: In remote, hilly and tribal areas there exists a big communication gap between the Govt. agencies and people. The children living in these areas don’t have easy access to education.
Unemployment: Many parents think that as educated youth are unemployed, there is no point in sending the children to schools.
Lack of motivation: Though the government gives incentives to the school going children such as free education, scholarships and other facilities, still proper motivation is lacking among parents to send their children to the school.
Lack of awareness and ignorance: Ignorance about the value of education is curse. In our society, many of the parents don’t realize the importance of education in human life and it is only out of ignorance they don’t get their children enrolled in the schools.

The ways to resolve the Problems of Elementary Education were as follows:

Government should look into the educational facilities to every school to reach poor people.
Awareness should be created in the villages that the children should be taught. Bring awareness about culture and religion and social thinkers.
Corporal Punishment, which instigates dread in the minds of children, must be done away with. A law banning it must be enacted.
If the students were given free uniforms, text books, footwear, stationery items, dictionary, raincoats and bicycles we can reduce the school dropouts.
Parental awareness that education is must also led to reduction of school dropouts.
Shift from imparting theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge. Foster team spirit through various programs.
