It is rightly felt that the survival of man is at stake if we do not conserve our rich fauna. Animals play an important role in man's life. They provide milk and milk products. They help to cultivate and plough the fields. Fish has nutritive value and is rich in proteins. Insects help in pollination of plants and crops. Thus every specie plays a role in the ecosystem. In their absence it will become difficult for man to live a healthy life and to fulfil his needs.
