let suyash score x marks in the first test.

in the second test,

he scored= x+10 marks

according to the condition,

5(x+10)= x^2

5x+50= x^2

x^2-5x-50= 0......required quadratic polynomial.

now,

by factorisation method,

x^2-10x+5x-50= 0

x(x-10)+5(x-10)=0

(x-10)(x+5)=0

hence,

x= 10 or x= -5

but we know marks can never be negative,

hence x= -5 is discarded.

hence,

suyash scored 10 marks in his first test

hope this helps!!❤❤❤
