✒ The Swaraj Party or the Congress-Khilafat Swarajya Party was formed on 1 January 1923 by C R Das and Motilal Nehru. After the Chauri Chaura incident, Mahatma Gandhi withdrew the non-cooperation movement in 1922. This was met with a lot of disagreements among leaders of the Congress Party.
