Step-by-step explanation:

lest take speed of the stream as 'x'.

not time taken to row up stream =distance/speed

now, distance is 5.25 Km

speed is Speed of rowing - speed of the stream

=(5 - x)Km/hr

now, down steam.

distance = 5.25 Km

speed during down stream = speed of rowing + speed of the stream.

=(5+'x') km/ hr

difference of the time taken to row upstream and down stream is 1 hr.

(5.25/(5 - x)) - (5.25/(5 + 'x' )) = 1

by simplifying we get

3.3 Km/hr

hope this helps

thank you
