Swati sold her necklace at a profit of 7 percent. If she had sold it for Rs. 294 more, she would have got 10 percent profit, find the CP of the necklace

Let the CP= X

then SP at 7% profit = X+ 7X/100 = 107X/100

and SP at 10 % profit = X+ 10X/100 = 110X/100

As per the problem 110X/100 - 107X /100 = Rs. 294

or 3X/100 = 294 or X= 29400/3

or X= Rs. 9800.00
