when we eat a lot of sweet food, there may be remainings left out between our tooth. Then the bacteria present in our mouth produces acids while degrading the food items. These acids decreases the pH level in our mouth and this leads to the corrosion of the tooth enamel and results in tooth decay.
Toothpaste are basic in nature and hence they nulify the effect of acid produced by bacterias and keeps our teeth healthy.

Sweet teeth may lead to tooth decay due to the formation of lactic acid in our mouth. Hence, the bacteria present in our mouth produce acids that makes our mouth acidic and lead to enamel to prevent this use of toothpaste makes the mouth neutral because it is basic.
