Given:

  • Sweetie runs around a square park of side 75m
  • Bulbul runs around a rectangular park with length 60m and breadth 45m.

To Find:

  • Who covers less distance = ?

Solution:

Here,we have to find perimeter of square and rectangle.

Now,firstly we will find perimeter of square.

We know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\green{Perimeter\:of\:Square=4×side}}}}

Now,put the value.

 \sf \implies \: perimeter \: of \: square = 4 \times 75 = 300m

Now,we will find perimeter of rectangle.

We know that,

\large{\sf{\fbox{\green{Perimeter\:of\:rectangle=2(Length + Breadth)}}}}

Now,put the value.

 \sf \implies \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle =2( 60 +45)\\  \\  \sf \implies \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle =210m

So,Bulbul cover less distance than Sweetie.

Answer:

Bulbul covers less distance than Sweetie

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to find the perimeter of both square and rectangle as they both run along the perimeter

distance covered by Sweetie = perimeter of square

                                             = 4 x side = 4 x 75 = 300 m

distance covered byBulbul = perimeter of rectangle

                                         = 2 x ( length + breadth )

                                         = 2 x ( 60 + 45 ) = 2 x 105 = 210 m

therefore,

              distance covered by Bulbul < distance covered by Sweetie

                                   ( 210 m)           <         ( 300 m )

i hope it helps ;)
