perimeter of the swimming pool = length of iron road

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

so

=2(55+35)

=110+70

=180m

rate of rod =70per m

=70×180

=rs.12600

 \bf{QUESTION}
Swimming pool 55 m long and 35 m broad has a iron rod all around it find the cost of the rod at the rate of rupees 70 per metre

 \bf{step \: by \: step \: explanation}

As in the given question it is given that the iron rods is on the edge of the swimming pool.

Hence, WE HAVE TO FIND THE PERIMETER OF SWIMMING POOL FIRST.

°•° Swimming pool is in shape of rectangle .

•°• perimeter of rectangle= 2( length + breadth)

Given :-

length = 55m

breadth= 35 m

Hence

Perimeter = 2×(55+35)

=> 2×90

=> 180 m

Now ,

Coast of rod =?

As it is given that coast is ₹ 70 per m

Hence

Coast= 70*180

=> ₹12600
