SYMPTOMS:
i) symptoms can present themselves between 10 to 28 days after a person is infected. some start showing symptoms as early as 7 days after being infected.
ii) Fever is a common symptom for both diseases, but if your child is suffering from malaria, the fever will occur in cycles. They may develop a fever and sweat profusely, followed by intense shivering and then fever again. A cycle of sweating and chills is a clear-cut indication of malaria. This symptom usually lasts for 6-12 hours.
CAUSES:
i) Malaria is caused by the Plasmodium parasite. The parasite can be spread to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
There are many different types of plasmodium parasite
Pathogen :- plasmodium vivax (a material parasite)
Cause of infection :- sporozoite is the infective stage of parasite found in O+ anopheles mosquito. It enters into human blood circulation by mosquito bite and further multiplies into liver and RBC of blood to change into gametocytes. Such gametocytes then enter into new anopheles mosquito by biting and complete their life-cycle.
Symptoms:- Recurrence of high fever (104° -106°F ) along with acute chill and shivering at certain interval, headache , increase heartbeat rate and bodyache.
