Salary in 2011 = Rs. 22,385

To find : his salary in June 2019 =?

Solutions :

Total salary in 2011 =Rs. 22385

Using "Compound interest " we get :

$A=P(1+\dfrac{r}{100})^n\\\\22385=P(1+\dfrac{10}{100})^2\\\\22385=P(1+0.1)^2\\\\22385=P(1.1)^2\\\\\dfrac{22385}{1.1^2}=P\\\\18500=P$

Hence, his salary in June 2009 was Rs. 18500.
