\mathfrak\red{given:}

average age of 35 students in a class=16 years

average age of 21 students=14 years

\mathfrak\red{to\:find:}average age of remaining students

\huge\mathfrak\red{SoLuTiOn...!!!!}

let, sum of age of 21 students be 'x'

and sum of age of 14 students be 'y'

so,

average age of 21 students=x/21=14

x=294

average age of class=(x+y)/35=16

16=(294+y)/35

560=294+y

y=560-294=266

y=266

y=sum of ages of 14 students....

average of 14 students=y/14=266/14=19 years

\huge\mathfrak\red{ANSWER...!!!!}

\mathcal\blue{average \:age\: of\: 14 students\: will\: be \:19 \:years}

\mathcal\red{d)19 years}is the correct option...

hope it helps!!☺

ANSWER:

Average age of 35 students in a class = 16 years

Average age of 21 students = 14 years

Average age of remaining students:

Let, sum of age of 21 students be 'x'

and sum of age of 14 students be 'y'

So,

Average age of 21 students

                   = x/21=14

                x = 294

Average age of class= (x+y)/35

                                    = 16

  16 = (294+y)/35

560 =294+y

    y =560-294=266

   y  = 266

y=sum of ages of 14 students

Average of 14 students=y/14=266/14=19 years

(d) 19 is the correct option...
