First convert 12m in cm 12*100=1200
area= a*a =1200*1200=1440000cm squ.   (1)
area of a tile = 50*50=2500    (2)
now divide equation 1 & 2 ,
1440000/2500 = 576
576 is the answer......

Area of sq. room = S.S
=12*12m^2
= 144m^2
Now area of 1 sq. tile =0.5*0.5m^2
=0.25m^2
therefore, number of tiles requird=144/0.25 =576 tiles

number of requied tiles = 576
