- ACTH (Adrenocorticotrophic hormone) - ACTH stimulates the adrenal gland to produce another hormone, named Cortisol.
- TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone) - TSH's stimulation to the thyroid gland results in secretion of Thyroxine hormones.
- LH (Luteinising hormone) - This hormone controls the functions of reproduction and also sexual characteristics in males. It stimulates the tests to produce sex hormone - Testosterone.
- FSH (Follicle-stimulating hormone) - This hormone controls the functions of reproduction and also sexual characteristics in females. It stimulates the ovaries to produce sex hormones - Oestrogen and Progesterone.
- PRL (Prolactin) - Though Prolactins are present in both male and female body, its secretion in large amount is common in females during their pregnancy. It stimulates the breasts to produce milk.
- GH (Growth hormone) - This hormone plays an important to role to control the growth of a human body.
- MSH (Melanocyte-stimulating hormone) - The main function of MSH is to preserve and protect the skin from ultraviolet rays.
- ADH (Anti-diuretic hormone) - This very hormone works to control the blood fluid and mineral levels in the body, by working upon the kidneys. They are also known as Vasopressin.
- Oxytocin - Oxytocins helps the release of milk subsequently.
