Answer:

Commutative property is not closed under subtraction of whole numbers:

8 - 5 = 3 is not the same as 5 - 8 = -3

25 - 10 = 5 is not the same as 10 - 25 = -5

Answer:

No!! Difference of whole numbers is not commutative.

We can memorise these properties by their names. Like the name of the property "Commutative" suggests that we need to commute from one whole number to the other, then from the other one to the first one for finding the difference , we never get the same difference…… eg: 7 - 2 = 5 but 2 - 7 = -5

But for addition & multiplication, the result would be the same

So, Commutative property does not hold good for the subtraction operation of 2 whole numbers. Because when we change the order of the numbers , the difference of the numbers is not the same.
