Jammu and Kashmir and in Kerala. During these years, Congress came to power through most of India barring these two states. In Kerala, Democratic Left front and in J&K, National Conference dominated.
(b) two states where the Congress remained in power through this period.
One party dominance, that is the dominance of Congress was prevalent in Orissa, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh during these years.
