Hi friend ,

we can write .

tan 2a = tan{( a + b )+( a - b )}

= tan(a+b) + tan(a-b)/ 1 - tan(a+b)tan(a-b)

= P + Q/ 1 - PQ

so tan2a = P + Q / 1 - PQ

Hi@zzzzzz

here tan(a+b)=P

tan(a-b)=Q

we know that

tan2a=2tana/1-tan^2a

tan2a=tan((a+b)+(a-b))

we also know that

tan(x+y)=tanx+tany/1-tanxtany

here x=a+b

y=a-b

tan2a=(tan(a+b)+tan(a-b))/1-tan(a+b)tan(a-b)

tan2a=(P+Q)/1-PQ

hope it help u

Hii,

We can write....

cot 2 b= 1/ tan{( a + b )+( a - b )}

= tan(a+b) + tan(a-b)/ 1 - tan(a+b)tan(a-b)

= P + Q/ 1 - PQ

So, cot 2 b= P + Q / 1 - PQ

formula used ..

cot 2 x =1/ tanx+tany/1-tanx × tany

hope it helps,....
