 \tan(a)  =  \frac{4}{3}
Then , adjacent side of <a = 3

and opposite side is 4

Therefore hypotenuse is 5 ..... by Pythagoras theorem.

 \sin(a)  +  \cos(a)  =  \frac{opposite \: side \:  + adjacent \: side}{hypotenuse}

 =  \frac{4 + 3}{5}  =  \frac{7}{5}
