Now, L.H.S. = tan56

= tan (45 + 11)

= (tan45 + tan11)/(1 - tan45 tan11),

using the identity
tan(A + B) = (tanA + tanB)/(1 - tanA tanB)

= (1 + tan11)/(1 - tan11), since tan45 = 1

= (1 + sin11/cos11)/(1 - sin11/cos11),
since tanθ = sinθ/cosθ

= (cos11 + sin11)/(cos11 - sin11)

= R.H.S. [Proved]
