Tara and Joy Plant a Tree
Tara and Joy bought some carrot seeds and planted them. They couldn't wait for
their carrots to grow. The next day, they checked the garden but there was no
sign of the plant. Two days passed. They felt sad. Somu Uncle explained that it
takes time for a plant to grow. A plant's roots grow first. We must water it every
day. Then, it sprouts and becomes strong much later. It takes some time for the plant to bear fruit. Tara and Joy smiled and decided to wait a little longer
what is the main idea about the passage with two examples.

The focus of this passage is that good things take time. Two excerpts highlight this idea.

First, when Tara and Joy do not see a plant growing two days after they planted the carrot seeds, they are upset. It means that their impatience is not rewarded. Instead they are disappointed.

Secondly, their uncle explains how a plant grows. He tells them  that it is not a quick process and ‘takes time’. He also informs them about how the plant becomes strong ‘much later’ and then bears fruit even later. The children understand his message and decide to ‘wait a little longer’.

Hence, the passage tries to convey the idea of how certain things cannot be rushed and take their own time, but the wait is worth it.
