This practice by the Tata Power is for the initiative taken by the Jharkhand government which is known as- 'The Van Srijan'. This initiative was started by the Jharkhand government and Tata Powers and the Damodar Valley Corporation came forward jointly to help the Government of Jharkhand.

The main objective of this initiative is to make the areas of MPl and Nirsa green and clean. Under this initiative, a total of 1000 trees were handed over by the Jharkhand Government to the local people of the Nirsa region.
