Tatya Tope was a Maratha Brahman who was a leader of Indian Mutiny in 1857-58. He was considered the best and most effective of the rebels’ generals.


Being Defeated, In March 1858, he moved to Rani Laxmi Bai did not surrender even after her troops were overwhelmed. The rescuing army of Tatya Tope was defeated at the Battle of Betwa.
