Most People think that the bamboo is a bush or a tree. Surprisingly though it is a grass. The

bamboo shoot grows at the rate of 41cm a day and can grow as much as up to 36mts. The

Bamboo plant grows in Asia, South America and Africa. In the US it is used to make fishing

poles. The Japanese use the hollow bamboo stems as water pipes. The Chinese use it to make

paper . Some people even cook the tender shoots of bamboo and eat them.
