Teachers I am very much sorry to ask you these silly questions but I am always confused b/w Anion and Cation Anode and Cathode Moreover what is meaning of more electronegative ? Does it mean ion which gains more electrons ?

Yes ion having capability to gain electrons are electronegative.

see in anion the second n denotes negative ( n for negative) and anion is negative ions.

and in cation see the shape of t in cation it's like plus and plus denotes positive and cation also means positive.

Anode is positive same as cation.
Cathode is negative same as anion.

Hope I helped a lot and electronegative means ions with more electrons.
